I’ll
tell you right off the bat. Research
is about 80% of Internet Marketing.
When people skip this step, or do it poorly, I can guarantee that unless
they’re super lucky, their campaign will
fail.
Research
is very important. VERY important.
Research
will show you what people are hungry for, what you can offer them,
how well they’ll respond to your offer, and even what kinds of sales you
can expect to make. If someone shares their research and campaign plan with me, I can tell them a rough
estimate of how much money that campaign will make, because it has almost
become a formulated science to me.
Whenever
I start a new campaign for a new product, by the time I’m done my research, I can give a ball park figure
of what the campaign will earn me. Scary, huh?
There
are three different types of research in
Internet Marketing: niche, product
and keyword.
Niche
research determines your consumers and your
available products. If there’s a product but no consumer, there will be no
sales. If there’s a consumer, but no product, once again, no sales. We learn to
find both.
Product
research is used to find the best products to
sell to your consumers. After all, if a product has been selling well for the
past 6 months, we KNOW that if we market it, it’ll sell just as well, if not
better.
Keyword
research determines the largest chunk of your research. It establishes how targeted
your visitors (traffic) will be, how many visitors will be coming to your
website per day, and how many of these will convert into sales.
Properly
conducting each of these three parts of Internet
Marketing Research for your campaign will mean a successful (not to mention
extremely profitable) campaign.
